on the driver side door jamb. If they had to replace that part of the car from an accident, the tag was probably beyond recovery. But the bottom line is that the car was probably in a bad accident (perhaps it hit a tree on the driver side) and was salvaged, then repaired. Also take a closer look at the picture with the boost guage by the turn signal stalk. In the background, you will see the plastic trim for the guage cluster (specifically the rectangular cut-out where idiot lights would be). As far as I know, this trim is only found on '90 Z's (or maybe '91s without the airbag). All other Z's with airbags have no cut-out there and a warning label applied in that location. Possible evidence that the car was in a side-impact accident - to such an extent that damage to the intrument panel occurred. Speculation? Yes, but there is too much in question about this car to dismiss as innocent. My 2 pesos. Dave N.
